Al Sharq Hospital organized “Al Sharq Baby Day” workshop for the expecting mothers on 23rd November 2019 at the hospital premises. Dr. Stuart Bennett – CEO Al Sharq Healthcare, welcomed the expecting mothers and couples to the free workshop which featured the healthy pregnancy journey and how to prepare and plan for childbirth. Our professional doctors from Obstetrics & Gynecology delivered a presentation on prenatal and postnatal healthcare. They demonstrated pain management options, normal and cesarean birth, and breastfeeding. The doctors also spoke about the father’s role during & after pregnancy. Our nutrition specialist emphasized on the importance of healthy eating during pregnancy on baby’s growth and development. The Emergency department team provided practical training of first aid for baby resuscitation and choking. The workshop was followed by a tour in the hospital and special giveaways for attendees. Al Sharq Hospital is planning to conduct continuous workshops to educate expecting parents about maternity and child’s health, and to prepare them for parenthood.
