    Al Sharq Hospital celebrated the discharge of its last COVID-19 patient on Sunday 5th July 2020 in the presence of key Covid-19 response team comprising of doctors, nurses and administrative staff. On this remarkable day, Dr. Stuart Bennett – CEO of Al Sharq Healthcare, announced that Al Sharq Hospital has achieved the COVID-FREE status and praised the tremendous efforts of the entire hospital during the pandemic. The hospital is now fully operational to provide specialized healthcare services to all the patients.

    A 24/7 Covid-19 Test facility for the Community

    Taking the Corona Virus (Covid-19) as a challenge, Al Sharq Hospital, Fujairah has initiated the Special Fever Clinic in April 2020, where patients can visit and do the Covid-19 test. The Special Fever Clinic was placed in a separate area of the hospital so that the normal patient is safe to visit the respective doctors and departments during their scheduled appointments.The test for pandemic disease was launched under the regulations of Ministry of Health. The Special Fever Clinics at AlSharq Hospital is successfully testing not only the walk-in patients but also thousands of employees from companies and businesses that are been instructed by Ministry of Health to undergo the Covid-19 test. The Special Fever Clinic and the ER department in the hospital is providing medical guidelines as per the (Ministry of Health and Prevention-MoHAP). The AlSharq Hospital is in well alignment with the companies and MOHAP for the Covid-19 test and timely informing both regarding the outcome of the test so that the suspected patient undergoes the proper process of treatment.

  • Al Sharq Hospital at the Keralite Community Event

    Al Sharq Hospital has sponsored and provided the medical support to the Keralite Community event which took place at Madhab Park – Fujairah on 31st Jan 2020. The event was attended and participated by over 1000 families. Al Sharq Hospital medical team conducted free medical checkups for the participants which included: Blood Sugar checkup, Blood Pressure and BMI measurement. Our physician Dr. Pratap Bordawekar gave on-the-spot consultation to participants.

  • Al Sharq Baby Day Workshop

    For the second time in a row, Al Sharq Hospital organized “Al Sharq Baby Day” workshop for the expecting mothers on 25th January 2020. Department of Obs & Gynae doctors discussed prenatal and postnatal healthcare including: pain management options, normal and cesarean delivery, breastfeeding, and father’s role during & after pregnancy. The free workshop also included pregnancy diet and nutrition, and practical training of first aid for baby resuscitation and choking. The workshop was followed by a tour in the hospital , lunch and special giveaways for attendees. It has been an overwhelming session and the attendees (expecting mothers with their husband) has benefited from the training and shared their gesture of conducting this special informative session regularly.

Fujairah Port Medical Centre welcomes Marella Discovery

The Marine Medical Division of Al Sharq Healthcare participated in the welcoming reception of Marella Discovery cruise ship organized by Fujairah Terminals on Thursday 14th November 2019. This is the first time that Marella Discovery docked at Port of Fujairah with a total of 2,066 passengers and 902 crew. A medical team from Fujairah Port Medical Centre was present during the two-day event to provide the necessary medical support for the passengers and crew. In addition, Fujairah Port Pharmacy displayed common consumable items and medicine for sale related to seafarers.
